Okay, that's because you are on an official rom from xiaomi. in this case, you have to flash TWRP recovery(please see the guide in first post by OP), then follow the instrucrions on how to flash rom file. Sent from my Redmi 5 using Tapatalk

1)- I was on latest stable 10.2.1 stock, with Google messages I was able to turn everything to black including settings app. 2)- I heard they say I should flash nougat and add fp then flash latest rom, but I don't think this is the most convenient solution.

when I play music and put my headphones, usually I turn on the equalizer, but when I press next somehow the equalizer turn off until I go back to settings and turn it off and back on to hear it working, and the FP is not working, it sensing my finger but can't add a finger print. other than...

Already tried this method but it didn't work, anyone have the same issue (FP doesn't work on Redmi5) don't waste your time.
