You are a magician! This is exactly what the issue was! Now I'm happily enjoying the xiaomi.eu goodness on my Mi 9 <3 Have the same two issues on Mi 9. They are not a huge deal for me but definitely an annoyance at times.

Moved my Mi 9 from Chinese ROM to this one last night. My camera app insists I should put in the SD card before it gets to work. What did I do wrong? All manuals said to wipe /data when flashing new ROM so I did. But I didn't wipe anything else. All manuals also said "DO NOT WIPE...
