Yes. In Miui 9 - and for that matter, Miui 8 - a little badge indicating an incoming message appeared on the top left of the lock screen. It wasn't so much a floating notification as a small icon. I can't find this feature in Miui 9 Sent from my Redmi Note 4X using Tapatalk
