This solves the NVRAM error issue, now I only need to fix that the IMEI is lost after full wipe.

Use Root Explorer. But first I would clarify if you stay with your current ROM before potentially screwing up your system...

Which MIUI version is currently installed? If it is not latest stable I would advise to install multilang ROM (and read some threads about root, recovery etc.)

Which recovery are you using for Installation? What is displayed in recovery as "Show log" after aborted? Could be that you need to go back to original recovery....
