In AppControl if you uninstall a system app it is not gone completely, you can reinstall it from AppControl or you can reinstall it with adb if you issue adb shell cmd package install-existing [name.of.the.package] or in case you have root you can use any terminal app and su -c cmd package...

I guess your download manager stuck, I did see this in the past many times. Try this: Go to Settings -> Apps -> Manage apps -> upper right corner 3 dost menu -> Show system service -> go to the search field -> search for Download -> you will see 2 apps: 1 is the Android download manager...

Some apps..? Like which one? It is listed but there's no Install button or you tap on install (or try to update an app..) but it says Pending endlessly..? Or you can't even find "some apps" in Play? Can you be a bit more specific?

First of all.. why the heck are you asking this in a random custom ROM's forum? Second thing: here's the official website's ROM download menu and it's easy to find the phone, the variant (region) and ROM but if you are still in trouble then you can use MiROM EZBox, too.

In settings if I type "virtual" to the search bar at the top.. it finds the menu and I can open it. But the path it says where it is (Privacy - Manage - Special app access - Manage virtual ID) does not exist: there is no menu like Manage in Privacy.

AFAIK this is how the Xiaomi.EU ROM disguises itself and the real model to hide it's properties (and pass SafetyNet with basic attestation instead of hardware). Or do you use Magisk and USNF and|or MHPC module and|or Shamiko.. or similar?
