Well, I have China ROM (as I am connected here). But I thought the "English" language option would mean the entire phone would be in English, not only some parts. eg the user guide is Chinese, and me no speakum this. Thanks.

THANK YOU ! Solved so simply. Been bugging me for weeks. My ROM is from China (me no speak), so now way for me to comprehend the Chinese user guide loaded in the phone. Me forced to use China rom, as I am connected in China - other rom's no work.

I have Mi3 release 4.8.29 . About 1/2 menus are English, the others are Chinese. The user guide is Chinese. WHY CAN WE NOT HAVE ENGLISH FOR ALL MENUS/GUIDE? thanks.
