The Last Ever Stable Roms For Leo And Virgo - 9.2.3.0

MIUI.su has a stable release of 8.3.29 for the Note Pro (leo) based on the official MIUI for the Mi 4C (which is still supported): https://miui.su/obnovlenie-miui-8-3-29-dlya-mi-note-pro Note: I didn't test this. According to the description, your bootloader has to be already unlocked. Edit...

Eu Safety Alert - Xiaomi Charger Ch-p002

Thanks for sharing but I don't think this charger is a Xiaomi product. On genuine chargers: The model number is in the format MDY-XX-XX.The labels are only on the side facing the wall outlet, and nowhere else. The USB socket is aligned centrally. The whole charger is smaller. This looks like some...

You can get rid of it by changing /system/priv-app/MiuiSystemUi.apk, I posted my patch for this on MIUI forums.

@Thomas Steinbrüchel I was about to suggest you that boot into TWRP and flash or adb sideload the ZIP file to install SuperSU. I'm not familiar with the 4C ROM situation though, as I don't have this device and, since I wouldn't want to mislead you, now it's probably a good time for me to butt...

Do you even have ADB access at all? What does adb devices show? Once you do, install SuperSU and adbd Insecure. This is the fastest way. For the record, if you want native superuser (without SuperSU), it's also possible but more cumbersome. The official way is to get the bootloader unlocked...

Sorry, I forgot this issue is specific to some devices, on Note Pro (leo) I don't have this option, perhaps on Mi 4c the OP can do just that and doesn't need adbd Insecure. @Thomas Steinbrüchel If it's not this, then what happens when you run adb shell pm? Any errors?

Just a guess but could it be because recently the stock adbd can no longer work as root? (Thanks, Xiaomi!) Assuming /system/framework/pm.jar is not really missing, I'd try adbd Insecure first.

Here's an Edify script snippet that completely removes the preloaded GApps from Xiaomi.eu ROM on a Note Pro (leo). Feel free to adapt to your needs and reuse it to make your own update.zip: # Google Apps delete("/system/etc/permissions/com.google.android.camera2.xml")...

There's no point in doing all this in the first place. SIP-based VoIP in MIUI has been broken since time immemorial, and Xiaomi have shown no intention of fixing it, especially now that they're peddling their own proprietary "MIUI VoIP." What's more annoying is that dialer integration is also...

[Re: Download Provider UI] I was just about to ask has this been fixed. Seems no then. So far the solutions are: Option #1: Delete /system/priv-app/DownloadProviderUi/DownloadProviderUi.apk. Option #2: Install another download UI. Since you speak Russian, you can try DVGet first.

Interesting, thanks! It's more like a workaround though and there's a simpler one: if you delete /system/priv-app/DownloadProviderUi/DownloadProviderUi.apk the browser should use a native download dialog instead. Works this way with Sleipnir, which is what I use, as well as with the default...

I'm also having it on the Mi Note Pro (Leo). It happens around DownloadProviderUi.apk and Xunlei "accelerator" or whatever is left of it looks like the most likely culprit. The logcat doesn't seem to have anything too interesting. I tried reverting DownloadProviderUi.apk together with...

Thank you developers for all the hard work! It's really appreciated! Has anyone managed to enable native root on a Note Pro (leo) or another device where Xiaomi has locked the bootloader by default, without going through the whole ordeal of requesting permission from them? Or is everyone just...

Exactly this. On my Nexus 4 the bootloader was locked by default but all it took to unlock it was running fastboot oem unlock. And here: application forms in Chinese, 10 days' wait, only one device every 30 days, and, best of all, asking for a "reason" why you want to unlock your own phone (must...

Really sorry to see you guys short-shrifted by Xiaomi, I though they at least gave you some official way around the new restrictions. That Xiaomi has a customer base in Europe is mostly thanks to you, they should recognize this. I think it's a good time to say: Thank you for all the work on...

Hi, I've been having the same Settings force-close issue you wrote about in the forums, and I've found a solution. Details here: http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/5-7-9-10.27802/page-4#post-249828 Hopefully it works for you too. Best, StrangeOrange

Settings.apk force-close when entering Additional Settings: Solution As I was suspecting, the problem is caused by an XML resource file, namely res/xml/other_personal_settings.xml. Replacing this file, which is inside the APK, with the stock version resolves the issue. If there's anyone else...
