You can also use a package that make things quite a bit easier... (found on another forum) it's called Combo_TWRP3_IDOV2 .zip (as i can't post link you'll have to found it yourself...) you'll also need to install the adb drivers first (search for the universal adb drivers ...) your phone needs...

Well then i'm really not sure. if you dont have twrp, i don't know if your bootloader is unlocked, and with the original recovery, you should be fairly limited in the type of rom you could have on your phone. I now there is a few mods of the xiaomi.eu than can be installed with a locked phone...

You can enter the recovery by shutting down your phone en pressing both power and volume + then you'll enter either the original recovery, or twrp, if it is installed.

If it's already on a xiaomi.eu rom, it also should have twrp installed.. so you should be able to update from this recovery?

Just installed twrp & 6.5.5 on a redmi3 pro, everything seems to work fine so far... As someone pointed out, I haven't found how to remove a fingerprint with french enabled ( so i'll wait for this to be fixed ;) and I was a little disappointed to find out Lite mode was removed from xiaomi.eu...
