    Looks like it is the same bug but interesting, I tried to take a log but when I plugged the phone into USB with USB debugging on, the recording appears in the call log for the numbers w/o +/*. So I decided to install logcat app to get the logs but guess what? Again when running the logcat app...

    Oh, mate I think you are RIGHT! No matter what Mi Status says when I checked with unlock tool it said 164 hours left. So I guess It accepted the account for unlock!
