Solved it. Activated Airplane mode when it asked for my Google Account and bypassed the verification. It doesn't bypass the verification totally because later it locks the phone asking for your Mi Account password. But with an internet connection and putting your password, it authenticates...

Hey, I found a possible solution. I had the version 7.3 installed, and there was a newer one. I suppose the newer stable had this problem fixed (as the global ROM did), so everything is okay, for now.

Hey @Andreas_Kiel thank you. I had the same issue as yours when trying to do these steps at a PC with Fedora. When I found TWRP 3.0+, I could boot through the TWRP and use it as well. It's strange that the TWRP version is causing this, but at least, it works fine.
