There isn't any, since there's no fully functioning TWRP. It's been like this for months now. TBH, the update script works flawlessly, use it to flash it without any hassle. And search. It's all over the forums.

I think that the global version goes live in a few hours. Either way, this is the .eu forum for the .eu rom. There's a chance that you won't get a specific answer here.

As some reported here - you still have to do a factory reset - then it works.

Someone mentioned that running a factory reset after the installation solves this (as opposed to wiping). Haven't tried it myself though.

I'm currently with A11 Global, not A11 EU...

If I move, I'll be moving from Global, with a full format, without flashing A11 EU first... It's fair to be aware whether the bugs are still there when starting fresh :)

Exactly the same as we do with the A12 updates - plug in when in fastboot mode, double clicked the BAT file, the one that also erases. I wanted a clean start, so I downloaded a fastboot A11 rom.

On A12, who should be the owner? I'm tinkering with this idea, but there are tons of possible owners. I tried media, media_rw and storage (not telegram, a different app), and still getting the same crash with the same error stack. Permissions are set to 777, but ownership is still unclear. WDYT?

I'm really inclined to try it out. I'll wait for this week's weekly, so I'll have something to flash whether this works or messes up things.

Everyone does - whenever someone mentions "storage issues with A12", it's about this problem. Same goes for Gmail attachments and other apps that rely on storage permissions.

I was thinking, regarding the storage access issues - are there any root based solutions? Something with magisk perhaps? Remapping storage folders or something? At this point, any lead or idea would be valuable.

I updated and it persists, haven't seen workarounds - at this point, I'll try everything. If that's a xiaomi issue, I'd still be happy to see an EU developer as much as refer to it...
