With the Xiaomi MI5S, the dng files remain in the file system when they are deleted from the gallery.
1 - Take pictures in RAW format
2 - Leave the camera and open the gallery
3 - Delete the picture just taken
4 - Open the file explorer and see if the dng file is still present.
