That's fine, and I understand - I was merely pointing out that I solved my problem (assistant crashing) by clearing the Google App's data. I was also clearing up the confusion that it wasn't the two installs of Assistant, as you mentioned.

I solved my earlier problems with Google Assistant crashing after the rebuilt ROM. I cleared all the user data (not just cache) for the Google app, rebooted, and set that up again. As mentioned, the two assistant app appearances were a red herring and had nothing to do with the solution.
