You can flash the global ROM later with fastboot, you don't need to uninstall TWRP. Flashing the fastboot image will replace TWRP with the original recovery.

You can find some Marshmallow ROM's on XDA, for example Resurrection Remix. You should try it, if 6.0 is important for you.

You can download it from the 8.1 stable releases folder in stable downloads (the xiaomi.eu_multi_HM3SHM3X_V8.1.5.0.MALCNDI_v8-6.0.zip one). I'm using it since yesterday, no bugs found, it's stable and fast.
