Hi. I think that is not a fix... if I have to install something in order for the microSD to work properly, that's not a fix. I never had this problem on Redmi Note 4 using the equivalent ROM release as Redmi 5 Plus. There is something else... maybe a ROM's bug... or maybe a hardware problem...
