the main point is not the free ram and what we want to do with. its the used ram. if we have 2.0GB free means less than 1GB used.

you can do it. are you using eu stabel rom? but as you said because you go from 5.1 to 6 its better to do wipe.its better. Eu stable 8.1.1.0 released today.
