Hello having a lot of trouble with this, thought it would be as simple as downloading stock fastboot rom and using mi flash tool. However I get a fast -s *lock error message if I remove this from the check in configuration it " successfully" flashes the rom in 0.58 seconds and nothing changes...

Using a mi mix 3 and seems twrp is no longer attempting to decrypt. Anyone got a link to twrp or other recovery that works ?

What is the correct twrp? Considering my previous twrp was working before the update it could well be a bug with the rom.

Something in this update has broken stereo sound mod. ( Something xioami has done) anyone got any ideas how to fix it? All sound comes from the earpiece speaker. For now I've reverted to regular sound .

For those of you who seem to be having network issues. If you download miui hidden settings app and head into device information and testing and then into phone 1 and 2. Change the network mode to auto or to LTE/UMTS For some reason the default setting is 2g/3g preferred

Yeah deleting gms does nothing. I'm still yet to readd cards but I need to set up an alternative card for my subscriptions before I can remove it. I'm sure I'll get there eventually bits it's super annoying. Never had an issue like this.

It's what Google said, however when checking through fastboot my bootloader says it is indeed unlocked. So I've no idea at all. But from the sounds of things Google don't have an issue with us using custom ROMs as they were advising me to contact xioami to re-unlock the bootloader. Real pain...

I also have the issue. Google reckon my bootloader is locked and that's causing the issue.

Also have lags and stutters on Oreo weeklies. YouTube often stutters badly. Phone slow to a crawl often and sometimes get incredibly hot. Rebooting fixes this temporarily.

Thanks turna out I just needed to do another reboot ( for a total of 3 reboots) everyth seems fine now.

Anyone with a mi note 2 having sensor issues with this update? I.e auto brightness not working. Rotate not working.

Apparently there's a beta ROM for it but it's buggy as hell. You maybe able to find it somewhere on the net.
