@graw2 This happened to me as well on a Mi 4c 2GB while using two SIM cards in the phone. The first sim wouldn't get recognized anymore after some time (totally random, sometimes 20 minutes, sometimes 1 day, SIM didn't show up in settings either). I don't know if it's fixed with only one SIM...
