I'm not on a ROM from here - just the one that was on there when I bought the phone from Xiaomi in HK. I'm not interested in unlocking / rooting etc. I also installed a separate SMS app when I first got the phone (Google Messenger) and have been using Contacts+, but get the same behaviour in each.

I'm on a different build but had the opposite problem. I bought a Mi5s Plus at the Xiaomi store in HK, and I'm running the 8.0.4.0 | Stable ROM (it had an OTA update a couple of weeks ago). The alarm with the Google clock doesn't sound at all, but the stock alarm works fine for me. Weird.

Same problem with Smart Unlock here. When I first got the phone I got notifications about smart unlock using Bluetooth and location, and set both up. Neither works and unlock with Bluetooth device can't see any Bluetooth devices Sent from my MI 5s Plus using Tapatalk
