how to go to N without loosing data? usually I downloaded new weekly, copied it into flash, reloaded to TWRP and installed it. is it a suitable method to install N and not loose apps and data?

I see.. neccesity to unlock bootloader, then to wipe all my apps/settings annoys me. I'll better stay on good old 6.x firmware. iamme729, thanks for the clarification anyway

you wont believe but it's originally Google policy to lock bootloaders to secure regular users p.s. sorry for being late

despite locked bootloader one will have TWRP installed and this gives possibility to install whatever one wants, I believe upd: video guy use some custom firmware from "Ego_Zero" due to heating and other issues xiaomi.eu users often complain (he said it).

do I understand you correctly: despite being pre-lock device generation my phone will lock anyway (even after xiaomi.eu android 7 firmware) ?
