For a workaround, disable Mi Cloud contacts sync if enabled, it causes this crash for now at least.

Alternatively you can go to the view where you enter your Mi Account password, type your WLAN password and copy it, then go back to WLAN settings and select your network and paste the password

Have you tried clean flashing, not changing the DPI at all and changing the theme and seeing do the icons break? I have seen this happening and staying despite reverting to the default DPI. I wish Xiaomi would implement DPI changing with no problems to MIUI natively at some point..

Did you change the DPI? Setting it below 380 does that for me on a Mi Max 2.

Is the screen-off animation removed from all devices or only some of them? No screen-off animation on Mi Max 2 still in this version, and neither it was in 7.10.26, that version removed it for me, before I did have it. Not a serious issue or anything but it was a bit nicer than just turning off...

How about your icons, do you use a custom icon theme or the default icons and they do not break from DPI change? Is the launcher stock from Xiaomi or do you use another one? Maybe I need to upgrade from 7.9.14 and try again. You are modifying miui_density value, right?

What method did you use, for me build.prop method breaks all icons below 380, wm density method on shell works until I reboot, then icons break for me and become empty. 380 isnt that bad when I have gotten used to it but lower would be better for me. Currently on xiaomi.eu 7.9.14 MIUI9

Is the LTE/4G label on status bar model specific, Mi Max 2 seems to use "4G" on the statusbar on the same version while Redmi 3S has "LTE" I am well aware that it means the same thing in these cases but I'd prefer "LTE" label instead although it doesn't matter at all when it comes to functionality

On stock MIUI9 this broke few icons with dynamic parts for me (Weather, clock etc.) I found out that it seems to be 440 by default on the Mi Max 2, and now on xiaomi.eu I cannot go any lower than 380 without breaking almost all icons. (They become empty) Build.prop method breaks all the icons...

Cheers, thanks. I'll do it after first boot just to be sure, as I remember flashing EU for the first time and it got stuck on mi logo since I flashed SuperSU before even booting it the first time. So to stay safe I'll upgrade and boot it up and then reflash SuperSU

Quick question: Does upgrading remove root, I have SuperSU, so does it get removed when I update, or should I reflash SuperSU while upgrading, or what is the correct way to upgrade and keep root with this ROM?
