Just wait for an update. You can also report this bug to en.miui.com forum. I've had a problem with video recording. I did take photo, but I can't recording videos. After flash xiaomi.eu that problem is gone.

I've had the same problem on stable 8.5.3.0. After flashing xiaomi.eu I've no issues.

Did you format all data and system partition?

I've had a same issues. My MIX2 can't boot. I resolved that problem booting to TWRP and advanced wipe (cache, data, system). After that I reboot recovery again, copy a ROM 9.22 to device, flash it, wipe cache and reboot. After about 3 minutes MIX2 boot.
