I was able to send the zip file to the phone using the adb command to push. adb push ROM.zip /ROM.zip and it will be at the root your internal storage. I think if you format data and then reboot you will be able to see the mi8 drive in you pc without encryption. But becareful because you cannot...- goncalom

I have the same issue. All data are encrypted and can't use my downloaded zip file to install xiaomi.eu ROM. Did you solve your problem?- goncalom
