As you have hassled around with other roms, I would recommend you to flash an official Rom for this device and afterwards flash the latest xiaomi.eu.

I agree with you on the part with being a bit laggy after rebooting and also the sliding down the control center sometimes is a bit sluggish. Unfortunately the devs do not own this device and cannot do much for that reason. Apart from that I had never issues with calls or any system apps.

I cannot downgrade from 18.4 to 07.04 , it shows me error 25 , cannot downgrade. Update: I got no clue why but I have just disabled and enabled the inject.apk and now the Wallet doesn't throw up any errors. Device Integrity in Play Store was available the whole time.

Xiaomi's Unlock Policy changed and the server which all those paid services used, is being offline for a long time for whatever reason.

Chinese people should still be able to unlock their chinese devices with some specific requirements.

Not possible if you live outside of China.

It is not possible to unlock it officially, unless you try to contact someone on Telegram who offers a paid service but from what I have heard, even that is not possible on a few devices anymore. Of course there are also scammers concerning this topic, be careful.

Yeah I also had the issue in the past on my Miro, but as already mentioned I could fix it by switching to EAA and back again. I have no clue if that made a difference but until now I have always discharged it until 0% and charged it then until 100% before using it.
