Hey :) I did a dirty flash via TWRP - and it works fine till now :) But generally speaking... since more than a year I updated "dirty" via TWRP - is there any disadvantage or in other words should I do a clean install or at least wipe the cache and dalvik every few month?!

Well, have you just tried it? After downloading (manually) the .ZIP-File, I scroll down in the updater-app (after clicking "choose update-package") to the very bottom and there is the aforesaid .ZIP File.

The topic fits for me as well... Mi Mi 8 is running the 8.10.18 xiaomi.EU-rom. The Updater-App says that there is an update. After downloading it, and pushing the "install-button" the device shuts down, but doesn't boot again - unless I start in fastboot, shut down and start manually again...

Thanks so far! and what about updating via OTA? I thought, that I't will work like on every other device. Simply push "Install" and it will worl out fine...

well, I tried to and the device said sth. like "will restart in recovery-mode. But afterwards it was shut down and did not turn on again, until i started manuelly into Fastboot and afterwards turn it on regularly

Ok, there is an update from myself. Ich was able to flash the phone yesterday (after a 720h block) with the newest xiaomi.eu-ROM and till now everything works fine. Google as well as every other app I used before works well. I can't tell if googlepay or any other financial-app works, because...
