Mi 8 massive battery drain from Android System. 60% -> 20% in 1 hr this afternoon.

This version seems to shut a few apps in the background. If I multi-task to another app, the app has to restart when opening. This is super annoying for workout apps and others that need to run in the background. MI 8

Battery life definitely seems worse since last update on MI 8. Glad to have Google Pay back though.

I haven't done a clean install in a long time, but it would be ideal not to have to try that.

MMS not working for me on this update or 9.4.18 except for Xiaomi Messaging -- Google Messages, Textra, etc. will not send MMS. My APN settings are correct, and the carrier manually refreshed my network connection. MMS has worked in past updates.

MMS not working on Google Messages. Xiaomi Mi 8. Regular Xiaomi Messages works fine to send/receive MMS.

I'm having the same issues on MI 8. Poor battery, Google Pay is broken, OK Google works for about 5 seconds.

Yes. OTA has never worked for me on this ROM. I click and it says I'm already up to date and won't download.

Was trying to avoid wiping data if possible! Maybe not a choice?

Getting bootloops when installing this. Mi 8 / 8.8.24 / Newest TWRP version (and also tried older TWRP version) Boot to TWRP, Install, select the 8.9.20 .zip, installs just fine then bootloops. Any ideas?

I just attempted to dirty flash from 8.8.24 and it boot loop for me. Don't know what's wrong with it.
