"Double tap screen to wake" works just fine on my Mi Max 3 and Nova (Prime).

Mi Max 3 I voted "like" because this build is stable. But lock-screen notifications have been broken for a long time. (copied from xda topic) You can test this with the open source app (no ads) Radiodroid2. It is not possible to get a lock-screen notification for that app, despite tweaking...
