Restoring app setting after wipe cache and data
I'm not sure how ROM Manager works for backups, I use MIUI backup, its great. Titanium Backup works well too. Both restore app data, but MIUI backup comes with the rom so you just open it and restore everything. The restores are stored on your SD card, so wiping everything won't affect it, and...- memolino1

You should be fine to install same day. I always do I can't wait. If you get force closes on some activity (which is the worst really that can probably happen at this point in development) just flash the older one you had before. MIUI backup is great. It backs up to SD card so your stuff is safe when wiping fresh. It backs up/restore apps, app data (settings/angry bird levels), and even desktop screens so your apps are put back in the same places they were.
