which img do you use for getting root? is it init_boot? When was the last time you did a clean flash?

Different device but i have the same issue with my Xiaomi 14 when i am on Magisk 30/30.1 Why would you go back to 28104 though? is there a specific reason? doesnt the stable Magisk 29.0 (29000) work for you?

You probably need to login into the exact google account the backup was made in

to push something into internal storage do adb push sdcard like adb push Magisk-v29.0.zip sdcard/Download

download magisk.apk and boot into twrp and install root that way

wrong thats the one to boot the img, the right command is fastboot flash init_boot magisk_patched_init_boot.img

So..... you are on Mac OS, right? from which ROM are you coming from? if you come from anything else, be it stock MIUI/HyperOS or any other custom ROM like LineageOS and whatever else exists, if you install the Xiaomi.EU ROM for the FIRST TIME, (also relevant for any other ROM) run the file...

extract the rom zip again, dirty flash the rom again and then only patch init_boot.img and flash it. or you can also use the latest TWRP with decryption working and just use the magisk apk to flash magisk on

so nice to see a working Xiaomi 14 decrypting TWRP :emoji_blush:

Damn, that sucks... The change completely messed it up for me importing it in the future, sucks because Xiaomi loses Sales this way
