Confirmed drivers were installed correctly by plugin in mi 9 in fastboot mode before trying mi 11. Would be so much easier if it had been a driver issue. Time to bite the bullet I think and order mi 15 which is currently on special offer till end of this month

Thanks for the advice but it doesn't work, holding in the power button just cycles the mi 11 to the mui logo and then fastboot logo, then goes back to mui logo again then fastboot.it doesn't matter if I press power on it's own or power and up/down keys it always ends up with the fastboot logo...

Same here. Even though it shows FASTBOOT on screen I dont think its actually in fastboot mode (maybe its overwritten the boot/recovery img) as even just using power button or power button plus Up/Down button it still shows FASTBOOT logo. PC doesnt recognise it but it can recognise my old Mi 9...

I can't even turn my mi 11 off as just restarts. Can't get to TWRP or any recovery It's not detected on windows 11 either so I'm not hopeful

I also had issues trying to download but after a few attempts it finally started downloading fyi was slow downloading too (over an hour)
