    No, it shouldn't. This behavior have all big mp cameras in phones in common. They use pixel binning and that's also often advertised. Also probably the Samsung isn't an entry level model like the redmi. Price is still important at least for cameras.

    That's incorrect. The redmi note 7 has a 48MP s5kgm1sensor. The stock camera app can use these. The others use pixel binning 12mp (standard resolution and mode). 4 pixels are merged to one in this scenario. So the only misleading thing is your knowledge about the phone ;)
