    Hmmmm I can see often problems with TWRP on latest stable build (I have UMI). For me I can boot to twrp, but from fastboot boot twrp.img, decrypting data don`t work, but it`s not a any problem to flash Magisk or ROM

    Why you have problems with TWRP? CTS profile ===> find tutorial, how use props to make CTS working (I add tutorial in a few comments) I don`t have too, but my cellurar provider (Play) don`t want add my device, to their configuration

    Yes, I use fastboot boot twrp.img command Here is my build. Device name is Mi 3W because I play with props to make CTS profile working.

    Maybe magisk, have some issues with commands .... Mount system RW: mount -o rw,remount /system Mount system RO: mount -o ro,remount /system

    fastboot boot twrp.img --> Boot recovery, twrp or other name if you changed once, if you reboot to bootloader, you must use this command again fastboot flash boot recovery.img/twrp.img or what name it have --> flash TWRP into recovery partition and you will be have physicaly this recovery on...

    No, better is format data, don`t worry it`s not hard to do this. And risk that something will going wrong is very very low. One thing that you must know, that if your friend wipe data, then he must boot to TWRP once again, then copy new ROM and flash.
