I would really love to find a solution to lock the bootloader on chinese device with global rom. Until then, I think you can flash any stock rom you like, then root to be able to hide things from your banking apps. Not as reliable as having a locked bootloader of course.

Understood. I have Mi 11 Ultra Probably MIUI 14 is going to be its last update. If this happens again in the near future (when MIUI 14 is no longer supported), it means that I will be stuck (or maybe root, which I don't like). My problem is with banking apps, not contactless payments.

It refuses to work on xiaomi.eu unfortunately. If you set default then back to Nova, it works until you reboot (my device turns off & on every night so this is useless). The strange thing is that it works normally on chinese rom.

I am currently installling Xiaomi.eu 12.5 (Not a big fan of updates & getting past Android 10/11). The problem that I experienced with my Mi 10 Pro (which is why I sold it) is that in xiaomi.eu 12.5 , Google play store said "device not certified" ... which meant I had to go to xiaomi.eu 14...

Tried Xiaomi.eu on it & didn't feel any improvement over the stock rom.

Any idea how this can be done please ?
