I've got the same behavior with the 12x and the last available Xiaomi.eu rom for this device. The device has been sent under warranty to change the main board. can't prove it's due to the xiaomi.eu rom but my previous Poco m3 with xiaomi.eu died more or less the same way so I have serious doubt.
