Recently I have problems with my battery indicator. It makes strange instant drops and it seems like it happens only when recharging through the USB (tried 2.0 and 3.0). I don't know if it's a software or a battery problem, really hope it's a software problem :X My phone is: I9100

Is there a way to update to the newest version of MIUI without it applying it's own kernel? I'm using syiah 5.0.1 for my S2 and it overwrites it every time, so I have to install it again. It's not much of a problem, just curious if there's a way around this...

Wipe only cache + dalvik and apply the new *.zip. All settings and apps will be there :)

People, Official MIUI releases are based on the stock android version, which you can easily check! If you see a MIUI version above the Stock one, it means it's a CUSTOM MIUI! Therefore, you should only use such distributions at your own risk!

To be honest, I don't really know. But there are differences and they are not that much (it's still the same ROM so it's obviously translation and a few modifications to be more pleasant for the UK users), that I can reassure you :)

It's the memory u store everything u have xD, except the ROM (even though it's the same memory, just in another partition)

Yes, download the .zip, put it in the internel memory, wipe cache and dalvik just to make sure it's clean and apply the .zip :)

How do you even know there's no optimization? It's not uploaded yet...
