I experience several random shutdowns, especially when writing SMS / WhatsApp messages. Could be due to the faulty language pack, though.

I have a killer battery life with V5, the best i ever had so far. Issue: Activating the slow motion mode in simple camera mode (video) freezes the Mi2 completely

Strange occurance: After a full wipe, the keyboard was there. Without reinstalling anything.

Will try a full re-install via CWM now

It's pretty weird, as long as 3G is turned on, my battery life is less than 20 hours (MIUIAndroid 2.12.21, which is based off the JLB7.0, kind of). From what I can see so far, it heavily depends on your provider as well.

Question is: Did you have Auto-Sync on? The german community i'm in is currently trying to figure out where exactly the problem is, we get tremendously different stats with similar roms, but apparently, it has a lot to do with 3G and synching.

Probably won't work over the Updater at all. A guess is that you could try to rename the file to update.zip and flash through the MI2s recovery, but that's just a guess withuot any guarantee, might even lead to a brick. As far as the procedure goes, this is what MIUI Australia says: Rom ->...

Update functionality via OTA is only given with the Stock MIUI Rom. You'd have to download the new ROM from MIUIAndroid everytime a new version is released.
