So if i'm correct i boot into fastboot (volume down and power key) then connect my phone to my pc and run terminal with command fastboot update update.zip (i renamed the twrp file to update.zip) because that's not working. I'm sorry if im doing this completely wrong

Hi Thank you for answering. Yes i did it will install (it says it does) but i simply cannot install any update without getting a bootloop. I really dont know what to try any further. As far as i know i have to install it on my recovery partition right?

I screwed up I accidently updated my m4 with a twrp file for aries (m2s) since its my old phone and now i'm not able to update got a bootloop grrrrr Can someone help me please? I already tried to push the right twrp.img via fastboot method without succes, i must be doing something wrong here...

Ok solved it, took away all of the translations i don't use off the apk's and pushed them back to system/app, even got some room left now ;-) Thank you for all your help

Right, so that causes the problem. Found the missing apps in data/app but i am not able to install them even wit root browser and set to r/w with root privliges maybe you have a sollution, anyways thank you for clearing things up

Ok after searching aliitle more, i think i found out what caused my error. in the rom installationpackage there is a folder called data/media/preinstall_apps this folder contains the apps miuiGallery.apk, miuiMusic.apk, fileExplorer.apk and Userbook.apk. Also there is a string reinstall_apps...

Even did a wire brush with the latest development rom form xiaomi for m1s, updating it with the multilanguage rom. Again apps disapear? how come, what am i doing wrong here. I have read all posts about updating, followed every step, still no luck Please help me out guys

Looked in this folder aswell, also no miuigallery.apk completely vanished. I really dont have a clue now Ok got it fixed, had to download the rom and take out miuigallery.apk then place it in system/app restart and working like a charm. Thank you for your help!

Yes its a mione s, so i just leave it at data/app and set rights correctly or do i have to move it over to system /app again?

I've found out that after flashing the multilanguage pack, miuigallery.apk totally disapeares in system/app. Whrer it is before flashing the multilanguage pack. So there must be something wrong with flashing of the package, but i dont have a sollution
