Because they are planning to insert adverts into your phone calls? Actually there used to be a company that did this many years ago. You got free international calls but had to listen to an advert every ten minutes or so.

I've rebooted twice and things still work.

Two hours and still working for me. Hopefully it is still working for everyone else.

30 minutes with DisableServices and things are still working. Fingers crossed that this will work for now. I'll let other people experiment with different play services apks.

I am leaving AdvertisingIdService disabled as I doesn't sound like the kind of thing I want running anyway! :-)

I just removed the same apps but calls still do not work :-(

which mokee are you using? I just tried to install MK44.4-aries-141205-RELEASE.zip and gapps_kitkat-140619.zip since it says that is the most recent release, but I can't even get past the setup screen because Google Keyboard and Hangouts keep crashing. Or do gapps not work with mokee?

I think I am replying to you here and on xda :-) But if mokee is working then why not stick with that? I am wondering whether to move to mokee. But if CM is better in your opinion then I will continue to play around until hopefully someone finds a fix.

I am on today's (20141212). But I don't think it has anything to do with Skype. Sometimes it works after a reboot (for a while), but other times it does not.

Personally I think it is a change to a Google apk.
