    Hi Im from belgium, download smiui from smiui.net and apply Unicode sms/mms mod (you can generate it from the kitchen, but for some reason its not applied yet). Then you'll be able to send SMS messages. Contact me for more information, I also have the redmi note 2, cheers.

    I have noticed this too, from time to time. I think it has to do with the kernel driver for the lcd, because when the screen is of it's fully black, but when this happens it's illuminated black (and the touch screen responds while I'm not getting any image on the screen)

    No smiui 5.9.17 for hermes? Kinda looked like most fixes were for hermes (redmi note 2)

    In 2x redmi Note 2 and mi2s (with smiui) i too have FC in the SMS app, probably something in base ROM I guess

    I had FC for the sms app on mi2s and now on redmi note 2, clearly there is somewhere a problem concerning those apps (btw my system language is dutch (NL) )

    @sebsch1991: I'm going to try and solder my mi2s tommorow, maybe I can help you support the mi2? I already have some modest experience developing linux kernel drivers (for embedded platforms) https://github.com/fenrig/spi_mcp2515 and a v4l2 driver for the ps3 eye (no repo online on that one)...

    I can't wait to get smiui V7 for Mi2s ^^ keep up the good work @sebsch1991, if you want I can keep you in the loop about bugs for new releases. Just gotta resolder my micro usb port (but I need a heat gun, which I can use at my school as I'm studying electronics ict. At the moment it's too risky...
