Sorry but I can't find a clear answer in the thread for my case: I'm using 5.4.14 on a system with stock partitioning and TDB (I'm very happy with it, it has just minor glitches). Can I upgrade to 5.5.7 without re-partitioning, i.e. just flashing over the old one?

yep, this worries me....we have smartphone OS that has just totally lost phone call functionality, I would expect devs to jump on their chairs, discussing and asking for user feedback... but...CM is free, so: I should not beg for fixes...! :-)

Take a look at this, looks like a nice security checker. It also has the option to disable the damn checkinservice. EDIT: the "checkin disable" option is only available to donators...

Yes indeed, disabling that service brings call functionality back for me too. WTF is going on with Google?

That's weird: as I said above, I completely uninstalled Skype, and cleaned cache and dalvik + reboot, and problem is still there... which nightly are you on?

same problem here. I tried uninstalling Skype but no luck. Now I'm cleaning cache and dalvik, will report back. UPDATE: Nope, problem still there, so Skype is NOT the culprit (@XperianPro). Grrrrr this is making me crazy on a working day...
