New [3.10.11] Message App Bug

Hello,

I've been having a problem with the last 2 MIUI updates, ever since updating to 3.9.27 the messages app hasn't been working properly for me. It displays the names from which I get a message for a fraction of a second when I open the app, and then reverts to the phone numbers of said names, but it's usually pretty random, sometimes some names appear, sometimes other names appear...

Any idea on how to fix this behavior ?

This seems to affect some users.
Try to use only one contact list (do not mix Xiaomi, Gmail, etc) and make sure your numbers are stored including the international prefix (+XX).
As a workaround, you can also use some other messaging app from Google Play store (they usually share the same underlying db with messages).
