Hi guys,
I have flashed the latest stable xiaomi.eu ROM on my Redmi 4 and I have experienced the following issue:
- 4g lte signal ONLY on both sim slots
- changing to 3g preferred or 2g preferred causes "no service" indication
- unable to make calls via 4g as VoLTE is unsupported by the networks.
- basically only 4g internet works, no calling at all
- when trying to make a call the phone will try connecting to 3g but will simply show "no service" and the call will drop. 4g internet resumes after the call attempt.
What I have done so far:
I have flashed the modemv1, v2 and v3 files via twrp as explained in a thread found on en miui com (can't post link, forum won't let me)
What happened:
- I now get 3G ONLY (H/H+) signal on both sim slots
- calling works fine
- internet works at 3g speed just fine
- NO MORE 4G even though LTE preferred is set on both sims.
The phone is usable, at least calls can now be made, but it's a pity not being able to use 4G as well.
