AAC Codec with 22.2.23

Just got a pair of Xiaomi Redmi Buds 3 which support AAC. Though always connect as SBC with no option to change it in the Bluetooth properties. Tried developer settings as well though it always reverts.

Any ideas? Root or otherwise?

I should add aptX is the same.. nothing works by SBC..

Xiaomi mi11.. i now run Pixel Experience ROM so all good now!
