New android background service getting killed

I have an app which will start a background service , which works fine on all android phones and emulators except in Redmi 1s phones. Service starts normally. But when user clears out the app from recent apps interface, all the services associated with my app getting killed. My app needs this background service to be running. Is there anythinng I can do to prevent this issue?

Does it help when you lock the app (long press middle key until the overview shows all running apps. Pull it down and let it go. Now a small lock-icon should be visible. Maybe your app got killed because of memory shortage. Locking the app prevents the app when running in the background, gets stopped&killed due to memory shortage.

I've the same problem . on my MI2s with Smiui 5.2.13. My Beautiful Widgets clock stops updating after the clear all button. I can't lock Beautiful Widgets, while it doesn't show up in the running apps.
