Cannot make international calls from Mi9

I purchased my Mi9 recently. I am in London, UK and have Vodaphone as my provider. I can make local UK calls but cannot call Australia. It says "Connection to this number is restricted on this phone". My Vodaphone package allows for calls to Australia. Can someone help me please? Thanks

OK, tried everything. Eventually went back to Vodaphone and apparently because I had changed my phone they automatically barred international calls. Vodaphone lifted the bar it imposed, not at my request, and the Mi9 works perfectly in making international calls.
