Can't select gesture navigation anymore

On Mi 9T Pro and the latest weekly, I now can't change system navigation to gestures if the default launcher is not used. I use FNG. Before I could just use any launcher and enable gestures without issues. I'm not talking about the general Miui third party launcher issue, but this workaround used to work, and now it does not. This is the screen I get. Anyone know if there's a solution? Last beta I used was around 2 months old, did not have this problem.
