Can't update to the latest Gmail version

I'm talking about version 2.3.2, that was released today. I get an uninstall unsuccessful in the market when trying to install.

Delete the old gmail.apk in system with either root explorer or adb and then try.

Try to reboot too after removing the apk. That worked for me.

rebooting after removing the app is a necesary step.
