Clean install

I want to perform a clean install on my Mi 9T Pro (meaning that I want a brand new phone, no pics, no data, nothing from the previous install), what should I wipe from TWRP? I've read that I should not wipe System and Persist in any case, but can't I then copy the rom .zip via USB to the internal storage?

Only Format Data = Erases everything from the phone + formats partitions.

Just asking. Won't the regular wipe leave some files from the old install?

Just another question: should I place the rom .zip before the wipe or after via USB?

- Format Data
- reboot to recovery (TWRP)
- insert ROM into phone via USB
.Otherwise, the ROM will be deleted from the storage.
