Do you have the language in English?it happened to me, I had it in another language but when I set it back to english the problem were solved.

Jodmu your fix works. When get back my native language widget laucher crashes again. Had to take changes with english and then back native language. Started today when installed MIUI 8.2 xiaomi eu 6.12.8 beta. (Mi 5s PLUS)
