Display does not turn off in call

Hi, In this rom version 9.7.18 (and also on 9.7.11 but not on 9.6.20) on my Mi9, if I have a call, the screen does NOT turn off. It keeps turning on even if I try to lock the phone. The major problem is after I lock it, I cannot unlock when in call. I have to end call to start using it. Is there any settings I have to make? or it's a bug? Thank you!

Am I the only one who has this problem?

Already reported this in the bug section and it was answered as INVALID.

In my case I can't even lock the screen while in call. I presse the power button and the screen turns on immediately
